- Deno team joins Cloudflare as Deploy winds down
Deno’s team is joining Cloudflare. Deno Deploy will operate for six more months, while the Deno runtime will receive monthly bug-fix and security releases for one year. JSR will continue, and celld work will combine with Cloudflare’s workerd.
- RBI adds EDF reporting for service exports
India’s new export regulations took effect October 1, 2026. Service exporters must generally file an Export Declaration Form within 30 days after the invoice month, while foreign-currency service proceeds generally must be realized and repatriated within nine months.
- EU AI transparency duties now apply
EU AI Act Article 50 has applied since August 2, 2026. Professional AI users can be deployers and must clearly disclose deepfakes and certain AI-generated or manipulated public-interest text unless qualifying substantive human review or editorial control applies.
- Copilot individual plans default to training use
Since April 24, 2026, GitHub may use Copilot interactions from Free, Pro, Pro+, and Max individual plans to train AI models unless the user opts out. Eligible data can include prompts, outputs, code context, comments, filenames, and repository structure.
- OpenAI launches managed Agents API beta
OpenAI launched the Agents API in public beta on September 10, 2026. It provides managed long-running sessions, sandboxes, context handling, tools, and subagent orchestration. Access adds no separate fee, but each task can incur model, tool, sandbox, and third-party costs.
